SPRING 2021-PRESENT
Iowa State Daily
I served as a reporter for the Iowa State men's golf team in the spring of 2021.
During the summer of 2021, I took on the role of Summer Sports Editor where I first learned what it takes to run the sports desk.
During the fall of 2021 I served as a volleyball reporter before being promoted to Assistant Sports Editor midway through the year. The spring semester of 2022 I covered women's basketball, football and tennis, and worked on some major feature pieces.
I spent the first part of the 2022-23 academic year as the Sports Editor before a promotion to the Managing Editor position.

SUMMER 2021
Social Media
I managed the Iowa State Daily's Sports Desk Twitter account. This experience allowed me to see what kind of tweets the public will best respond to.
I also managed the Instagram page for the sports desk in my time as Sports Editor. Learning the difference in audiences has helped
2022-23
Freelancing
I picked up a freelancing opportunity covering high school sports for SBLive in the winter of 2022. I have done a few game coverage pieces and profiles since joining. The opportunity has allowed me to see the differences between covering college and high school sports.
